Sabres announce the schedule for the 2023 Prospects Challenge

The Buffalo Sabers will once again host the Prospects Challenge from September 15 to 18 at the LECOM Harbor Center.
For the second year in a row, the Sabers will join the Boston Bruins, Montreal Canadiens, New Jersey Devils, Ottawa Senators, and Pittsburgh Penguins to compete in a round-robin challenge featuring each team’s prospects. Participating teams will play three matches each during each event.
Tickets go on sale in August and cost $10 per ticket. Sabers season-ticket members will have priority access and will receive a preferred rate on any ticket for the event.
2023 will mark the eighth edition of the Prospects Challenge tournament, which began in 2015 with Buffalo, Boston, and New Jersey.
The Canadiens, Sabers, and Penguins shared first-round picks in the 2023 NHL Draft last month. Montreal took defenseman David Reinbacher fifth overall while Buffalo selected forward Jake Benson 13th and Pittsburgh selected Brayden Yeager 14th.
Buffalo’s roster for last year’s Prospects Challenge featured first-round draft picks Matt Savoy, Issac Rosen, and Jiri Kulich. Buffalo finished the tournament with wins in all three games. This year’s roster will be announced in September.

The Sabers Fan Fest presented by Coca-Cola will also take place on September 16.
Current Sabers players and alumni will be on hand for photo opportunities and autograph sessions. Fans will be able to experience unique experiences, special programming, and live music throughout the day.
